We are a team of 8 Masterbuilders, 3 Engineers, 2 Jewellers, 1 Sailmaker, 2 Toolmakers and several model enthusiasts with special crafting skills. We are based in Melbourne, Australia. Some of our master builders have been making models for some 40 years.

Yachtsdownunder have been established since 1990 as a team producing the finest models as works of art in limited numbers rather than mass producing. We design each model like designing real yachts or ships to exact scale using 3D CAD to produce a virtual prototype of the model before we make the real model. This process will ensure accuracy.

Our mission is to be the leading forefront in crafting the outstanding quality ship models. Working from shipbuilders' plans and building from scratch using only raw materials. We design and make everything inhouse to the right scale for our models, from the planking to the superstucture fittings.

With our skilled Engineers, Jewellers and Toolmakers, we are able to design and produce special boat and ship fittings in brass, silver and even gold.

Our models have been sent to maritime museums around the world, corporate companies for displays and many private collectors. Our models are usually bought as an investment as their value will only increase with time as a highly collectible item.
