Black/White Hull

The Avel meaning "Wind" was launched on May 14th, 1896. Built in only four months at Gosport, south of England. The Avel was a classical yacht for her time with two remarkable characteristics: a concave stem and a keel line parallel to the waterline. These were designed to help cope with the hazards of navigating at low tides. The Avel was restored in 1994 on behalf Maurizio Gucci, scion of the Gucci empire and is remarkably well maintained till today.
